Organization of a barrier-free space for people with visual impairments

The educational program of specialist training courses and specialists involved in the organization of educational correctional and rehabilitation work with persons with visual impairments, developed with for the purpose of theoretical and practical training of relevant specialists (acquaintance with the basic principles and technologies of organization and modification living and working space of visually impaired persons).

The goal of the course: formation of the trainees' competences in creating an accessible environment for persons with visual impairments, to ensure their spatial orientation and mobility in a small space. 1 ECTS credit is assigned to study the course (30 hours).

Main tasks:

1. raise awareness of national and international legislation in the field accessibility;
2. to reveal the peculiarities of visual perception of children with visual impairments;
3. to familiarize with the peculiarities of studying the functions of the state of vision in ophthalmopathology;
4. to promote the assimilation of the basic principles of creating an accessible environment for people with visual impairments.
