Modern information technologies play an important role in improving the quality of life of people with visually impaired, giving them more opportunities and access to information,  education, entertainment and provision of various life needs.

The main one  the goal of specialists: to form the necessary digital skills in people with visual impairments skills of working with a personal computer and a smartphone, on which special programs and applications are installed that allow them to be successful can be used by both people with low vision and the blind.

Main tasks:

• preparation  educational space, hardware and software to educational process for individual and group work within the framework activities of the department, persons with visual impairments; 
• education use of computers, laptops with the use of a keyboard, screen access programs, zoom programs, special helpers devices and additional peripheral devices (printer, Braille display, Braille printer, tactile graphics printer, devices satellite navigation, etc.); 
• learning how to use mobile phones electronic devices (smartphones, tablets under the control of various operating systems, e-books, push-button telephones); 
• use of special satellite navigation applications, physical satellite navigation devices; 
• provision  operation of online sites for the blind as part of the department's activities: communities in social networks, YouTube channel, interactive portal etc.; management of online radio and all its divisions.
